Hayakita Country Club has a rich history of professional tournaments. The North Wing has hosted prestigious events such as the 1994 Mitsubishi Galant Tournament, the 2005 Sapporo Open Charity Tournament, and the 2009 Hokkaido Open Golf Championship. Since 2005, many editions of the women’s LPGA Step-Up Tour “ANA Princess Cup” have been held primarily on the North Wing.
Meanwhile, the South Wing served as the venue for the “ANA Princess Cup” in 2009 and 2010. Despite being shorter in length, this course offers enough strategic complexity to challenge professional players. Experiencing the same courses as tour professionals is a unique appeal of Hayakita Country Club.
North Wing is an 18-hole course designed with professional tournaments in mind. The Champion Tees measure a generous 7,200 yards, with wide fairways that allow golfers to swing their drivers with confidence and enjoy aggressive play.
All four par-5 holes exceed 555 yards (C.T.). The slightly downhill third par-5 is a hole where long hitters can attempt reaching the green in two shots. The most challenging hole is the sixth par-4, guarded by a water hazard in front of the green, demanding careful judgment on whether to attack the green on the second shot or lay up.
South Wing is an 18-hole course that incorporates the natural undulations of the landscape. Shorter than the North Wing, it offers a “nuanced” layout with elevation changes, as well as numerous holes featuring creeks and ponds, providing a stimulating challenge where every shot requires strategic consideration.
For example, the third par-5 demands deciding whether to carry the pond at 220 yards or play safely short. The 14th par-3 features a creek in front and a pond behind the green. The most difficult hole is the fifth par-4 (C.T. 443 yards).
From the front tees, the South Wing measures 5,087 yards—about 570 yards shorter than the North Wing—making it more accessible for women, seniors, and beginners.
